PAEDIATRIC REHABILITATION
Cerebral palsy
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture. CP is the most common motor disability in childhood. Cerebral means having to do with the brain. Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles.
Infantile Hemiplegia
Infantile hemiplegia refers to brain injuries that occur before or at birth and lead to hemiplegia/ total paralysis of one side of the body, including the face, arm and leg.
Down's Syndrome
Down syndrome is a genetic condition where a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. This means that they have a total of 47 chromosomes instead of 46. This can affect how their brain and body develop.
Aspergillus syndrome
Aspergillosis is an infection caused by Aspergillus, a common mold (a type of fungus) that lives indoors and outdoors. Most people breathe in Aspergillus spores every day without getting sick.
Autism
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests.
Infantile obesity
Childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents. It's particularly troubling because the extra pounds often start children on the path to health problems that were once considered adult problems — diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Childhood obesity can also lead to poor self-esteem and depression.
CTEV
Physiopedia About Clubfoot Clubfoot also known as CTEV (Congenital Talipes Equino Varus) is a congenital physical deformity in which a newborn's baby foot is internally rotated at the ankle, soles of the feet face each other while the toes are twisted downward and inwards. In 50% of cases, both feet are affected.
Flatfoot, Knock knee
Flatfeet is a common condition, also known as flatfoot, in which the arches on the inside of the feet flatten when pressure is put on them. When people with flatfeet stand up, the feet point outward, and the entire soles of the feet fall and touch the floor.
Torticollis
Torticollis is a condition where your baby's neck muscles cause their head to twist and tilt to one side. It may look like your infant's neck is rotated at an odd angle. The top of their head may be tilted to one side and their chin may be tilted to the other side.

Being bedridden is a form of immobility that can present as the inability to move or even sit upright. It differs from bed-rest, a form of non-invasive treatment that is usually part of recovery or the limitation of activities.
